Concerns About the World Poetry

When Will We End the Madness?
dedicated to all the animals already gone
With ozone holes and temperatures rising,
Habitat destruction and overexploitation,
The animals are dying.

Should we just stand by, while acid rains from the sky.
Should we look away, when the sea creature's decay
The whole world suffers with each loss.

What kind of world will our children see?
Perhaps they will even be casualties of our selfishness.
When will we end the madness?

It's not yet too late.
Even small sacrifices can create,
When added together, incredible savings in total.
Won't you please help, even if just a little?

Concerns About the World Poetry

THE OCEAN

By June Choi

I used to shine
in the beautiful sunlight.
oceanThe seaweed danced
in my current.
My waves would crash against a rock,
and bring small hermit crabs to shore.

I could feel
the warm, soft sand,
and see the lovely clam shells.
Inside me,
schools of fish,
and colourful coral reefs swayed.
Sky blue dolphins
used to jump around me!
But now
I do not shine in the beautiful sunlight.
I am green and murky.
The seaweed
will not dance anymore.
My waves
will not bring hermit crabs to shore.
The coral reefs
have turned pale white
and are dying.
The men
have taken over me.
They have taken my friends
that once swayed in my current,

and my friends that swam inside me.
I am dead…
I am a dead ocean…
